Here is a demo of the Sports Illustrated Tablet Demo. It featured some pretty interesting interactions, but what I think is surprising, is that the interface is very close to a Magazine layout. Yes, a rich interface with zoom functionality, videos, horizontal/vertical layout options, etc... but still a magazine layout.
For example, when in Landscape viewing mode, i'm not sure you would read a spread on a tablet as you do in a magazine (which you can.. well...fold)
- Pages numbers in the table of content is also a strange concept. I don't remember needing page numbers on the homepage of news site to find my way around.
Shouldn't the user interface for tablet be built from years of learnings from web interactions, touch screens and other iphones, more than from Magazines?
While the income data per neighborhood is not that surprising, this visualization becomes fascinating and very informative when you start looking at the rent information layer.

In Branding, Website on December 1, 2009 at 10:07 amAs promised, a list of Uniqlo’s internet creative projects I gathered for a speech I gave at UQAM. All these projects happened since the rebirth of Uniqlo in 2006. In short: they’re all smart, efficient and timely. Enjoy.

To the coders, Information Architects, User experience specialists, flash developers out there, this is for you, and you know you deserve to be recognized.
Video directed by Keith Schofield. Beautiful video, and a great idea to have it available on Vimeo. To me, Vimeo is the best video platform out there. Great functionality, HD with spotless compression. customizable player, and when you are a "plus member" you can embed HD videos in your blog.
My collection of found photos "Look at Me", is featured in Zing. I must admit I have been neglecting the site for some time now for a few reasons: 1- too much work in general, and the fact that every update is not a quick and fast process (been using movable type). I am actually working on moving the entire collection to posterous. That will take some time, but when done, updates will be much easier.
"Cam with me" from Sony, beyond the actual concept of the website, what is very interesting here again is the fact that you can make the entire experience available from anywhere.
This will change the way you design websites.
Add a line of code to your pages and choose from hundreds of fonts. Simple, bulletproof, standards compliant, accessible, and totally legal.
this sounds great and means we're soon done with using images and/or flash when we need some nice typeface treatment. well. sounds good because it just doesn't work on Firefox 3.0.9. ;(
